How I shoot:

I am inspired by the old-school of cinematography, where directors put thoughts and planning into the composition and light. I love to shoot my photos as if it's a frame taken from a movie; well-composed, well-lit, and unaware of the photographer.

And I love to create portraits that are slightly wicked.

I shot Yang of Yangphotography.com‘s wedding late last year. Yang is an amazing photographer and I’ve worked with him in the past. All in all an awesome bunch of people to be with.

About a month or so after the wedding reception, Yang suddenly sent me a message to the effect of, “I was gonna be jumping out of the screen at the beginning of the reception.” Which I replied, roughly to the effect of, “I noticed.”

Here’s a little video I edited using footage I shot from Leigh and Mike‘s photobooth. For photobooth, I bring in a photographer to handle and man the station. I set up big lights, shoot using real cameras, and process all the photos for the client to keep.

Last September my trusty assistant and I traveled beyond the void and shot a wedding at Le Méridien Philadelphia. Originally a YMCA, it was restructured into a hotel right next to the city hall of Philadelphia.

We set up a photobooth as well, and had some great photos of guests in front of the camera [pis coming soon].
